We can replace a single missing tooth with the closest thing to natural teeth: a single dental implant. A dental implant’s post functions as the tooth root, stimulating healthy bone growth and offering reliable function. Each implant is restored with a custom dental crown, giving you a seamless smile with natural-looking esthetics. No one will know the difference!
We offer full arch dental implants, an immediate load dental implant option that offers you superior stability and complete function. The procedure is fully guided to give you predictable results. If you are suffering from decaying or missing teeth, this may be the ideal teeth replacement option for you to transform your smile.
Traditional dental bridges require you to weaken adjacent teeth to act as the foundation of your new bridge. Instead, we leave healthy teeth untouched and use one or more dental implants to support a new bridge of teeth. This is ideal for those with two or more missing teeth in a row.
Your dental implant treatment at Blank Dental Group is personalized to your specific oral health needs and smile goals. At your initial dental implant consultation with Dr. James Blank, our implant dentist in Springfield, OH, we’ll discuss your dental and medical history, take digital x-rays, and create your custom treatment plan, according to your smile goals. We can even show you a preview of your new smile with our Smile Simulation Technology. Next, you’ll undergo surgery, which may involve tooth extractions and bone grafting along with your dental implant placement. We use fully guided techniques for all of our surgeries to ensure an efficient procedure with precise and predictable results. You’ll be resting comfortably under sedation and remain pain-free during your surgery. In many cases, we’re able to attach a temporary tooth or set of teeth at this same appointment. As your mouth heals over the next three or more months, you’ll be able to eat comfortably and enjoy restored smile esthetics until you receive your final permanent, custom-made dental implant restoration.
A dental implant is made up of three parts: a titanium or ceramic post, an abutment and a restoration. Built to function like natural tooth roots, dental implants provide bone support and a stable foundation for a single dental crown, a dental bridge, a denture or a full arch prosthesis.
Many patients are candidates for dental implants already or can qualify after receiving preparatory treatments like bone grafting and tooth extractions. Candidacy is more accurately determined after a comprehensive consultation and evaluation with an implant dentist.
The cost of dental implants is based on many factors, including how many teeth are missing and for how long, the types of materials used, and what additional procedures are needed. Our team can help you apply for dental financing and will file insurance claims on your behalf to help you afford treatment.
Dental implant treatment can range from a few months to over a year. In many cases, implants can be surgically placed soon after the consultation and treatment plan are complete. For patients needing bone grafting, this may be a separate procedure requiring several months of healing before dental implant surgery. After dental implants are placed, healing can take three or more months before optimal integration is achieved and a final restoration can be permanently attached. In many cases, patients can wear a temporary restoration during healing.
Dental implants are designed to last for decades and have the potential to last for the rest of your life. Surgical technology and clinical experience, along with your health habits, ultimately affect the longevity of your implants. Choosing an experienced implant team like ours at The Blank Dental Group provides more precise and accurate surgery that better guarantees the long-term success of your treatment.
